Birth Choice provides education and support services to women and men dealing with unplanned pregnancy. We believe every woman has the right to be fully informed about her pregnancy so that her decision will be intelligent and confident. We educate her about fetal development, abortion risks and procedures and all the help available. All our services are free. They include:

• Pregnancy self-testing
• Ultrasound referral
• Counseling with trained, lay counselors
• Assistance in applying for Medi-Cal or AIM
• Maternity and baby clothes, formula and diapers
• Support groups
• Host homes for clients needing housing
• Adoption referrals and counseling
• Medical and financial referrals

For our clients who test negative for pregnancy, Birth Choice provides:

• Abstinence education (for those who are unmarried)
• Referrals for testing for sexually transmitted diseases
• Our Woman 360° relationship workshop
• Growing Families parenting workshop

Birth Choice is an education resource for the community. We provide:

• Speakers to address public and private schools, churches, service clubs and youth organizations
• Tours of our Center
• Free literature for students, parents, teachers or any inquirer

Birth Choice of San Marcos is a non-sectarian, non-profit 501(c)3 corporation governed by an elected Board of Directors, and is supported by private donations. All staff are volunteers; there are no paid positions. All services at Birth Choice are free.
