Free Medical Pregnancy Tests
Birth Choice provides medical-quality pregnancy tests. During pregnancy, a woman's body produces a hormone called hCG, found in urine and blood. Our tests can detect the hCG pregnancy hormone as early as 7 days after conception, or 21 to 24 days after the first day of your last period, and are 99% accurate.
Confidential Results and Information
Your trust is important to us. When you visit Birth Choice, we want you to know your information is safe with us. We have a strict confidentiality policy. No matter what service is provided, your results and information are confidential.
Ultrasounds
Birth Choice offers limited first-trimester ultrasounds to qualifying clients. We require an initial pregnancy test to be performed at Birth Choice and a visit with a client advocate before an ultrasound is performed. Be sure of a viable pregnancy with an ultrasound before visiting an abortion clinic because 31% of pregnancies are NOT viable and end in a miscarriage or ectopic pregnancy.
Pregnancy Verification
Birth Choice is happy to provide you with a verification of the pregnancy test for free for each individual with a positive test result and ultrasound testing. This documentation can be used to apply for state health insurance.
Individual Needs & Community Referrals
When you meet with a Birth Choice Client Advocate for a free pregnancy test, you will receive community referrals to help you with any of your immediate concerns and needs. We partner with many outside community organizations to provide a wide range of services for women experiencing an unplanned pregnancy.
Education Opportunities
Birth Choice provides educational opportunities addressing various parenting and life-skill topics. Qualified clients may choose between an individual and group learning environment to meet different learning styles and availability.
Body of Worth (Sexual Integrity Workshops)
Body of Worth, the whole woman whole relationships program, was established to help women achieve sexual wholeness and integrity.
The Body of Worth workshops are held at the Birth Choice centers or other local, convenient locations in two 2-hour sessions. Some workshops are held on weeknights, some on Saturdays. Registration is free. Gift cards will be awarded after each session.
Growing Families (Parenting Classes)
Whether you're pregnant with your first child or already have a family, you may feel that you would benefit by learning more to be the best mom for your child. If you want to learn and grow in your ability and confidence to parent, the Growing Families curriculum can do that. By attending these workshops, you will also be able to earn Seed Money, enabling you to purchase items from our Growing Families showroom after each session; or you can save your money to purchase larger and more costly items to be used at a later date.
Modern NFP (Natural Family Planning)
NFP methods treat each cycle as unique and are based on over 30 years of scientific research on human fertility. The methods are based on the observation of naturally occurring signs and symptoms of the fertile and infertile phase of the woman's menstrual cycle. There is abstinence from sexual relations during the woman's fertile phase. Couples then use the information to help achieve or avoid pregnancy. No drugs, devices or surgical procedures are used in the practice of NFP.
Post Abortions / Miscarriage
Pregnancy loss is an experience involving grief and pain. Such a loss, whatever the cause, miscarriage, still birth, infertility or an abortion is an ordeal which should not be ignored or denied.
Birth Choice provides resources to recovery to those struggling with healing through peer-counseling. For those who took part in their loss through elective abortion, the effects can be called Post-Abortion Stress Syndrome.
