Services
Birth Choice provides education and support services to women and men dealing with unplanned pregnancy. We believe every woman has the right to be fully informed about her pregnancy so that her decision will be intelligent and confident. We educate about fetal development, abortion risks and procedures, and the many options available. All our sevices are free. They include:
- Pregnancy tests
- Counseling with trained, lay counselors
- Assistance in applying for Medi-Cal or AIM
- Maternity and baby clothes, formula and diapers
- Support groups
- Host homes for clients needing housing
- Adoption referrals and counseling
- Medical, financial and legal referrals
For our clients who test negative for pregnancy, Birth Choice provides:
- Abstinence education (for those who are unmarried)
- Referrals for testing for sexually transmitted diseases
Community Education
Birth Choice is an education resource for the community. We provide:
- Birth Choice speakers address public and private schools, churches, service clubs and youth organizations.
- Field trips at the Birth Choice centers
- Free literature for students, parents, teachers or any inquirer
About Us
Birth Choice of San Marcos is a California non-sectarian, non-profit 501(c)3 corporation governed by an elected Board of Directors, and is supported by private donations and an annual fundraiser. All staff are volunteers; there are no paid positions.
